Cross-Cultural Ministry

We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the Gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. - 1 Thessalonians 2:8

There are around 6,000 International students studying at Texas A&M. You truly can impact the nations right here! As we share our lives with friends from around the world, God opens doors to share our faith with many who are eager to know about the story of Jesus and what it means to have a relationship with Him. Here are some ways that you can be a part of this exciting ministry.  To get started or to find out more contact Rebecca (Rebecca@aggiebsm.org) at the BSM.

Teach a Conversational English Class

If you like people and speak English on a daily basis, you are qualified to teach Conversational English! By helping Internationals practice and improve their English, we are able to meet a practical need in their lives. The friendships made through these classes are a blessing to everyone involved.  To see the current English class schedule, visit our Internationals page.

Enjoy some quality ‘girl time’ at Fun Friday

When you get a group of ladies together from all over the world to enjoy conversation, cooking, field trips, crafts, and more — FUN abounds. There are many International ladies who are not students but are here with their spouse. Having few opportunities to meet people, they especially enjoy making friends at Fun Friday. Join us each Friday of the fall & spring semesters from 11:30am to 12:30pm. If you would like to be a part of Fun Friday or would like more information, please contact Nikki (Nikki@aggiebsm.org).

Be a Conversation Partner

MANY International students request to have a Conversation Partner (CP). You can help meet this need! As a CP, you can arrange a time to meet with your partner about once a week to hang out and talk. Get to know them and their culture. Answer questions they have about English. Invite your CP to do things that you already do such as grocery shopping, exercising, enjoying an Aggie game, or whatever! Many Internationals treasure learning more about you and American culture.

Help teach a Bible Study for International students.

It is truly a blessing to study the Bible with someone who is discovering the truth of Scripture for the first time. These Bible studies for International students give them an opportunity to ask questions, have discussion, and grow in their understanding of God. There are multiple Bible study options for Internationals at the Aggie BSM.

“Seeing God’s love extend to every culture and every type of person on our campus through the English class ministry at the Aggie BSM has been the most humbling and eye-opening experience. To see so many people from across the world in love with Jesus, falling in love with Jesus, or just hearing the name of Jesus for the first time has made every English class completely worth the effort and time.” – Brynne Mattson
